Well the photos look better at my house, Dick is there anyway to clear these up? The two PB4Y-1 photos are both VD-1(Fleet Air Photographic Squadron One).

No, nothing can be done with the photos - the pixels are blowing out because the scan resoultion is very, very low and when the images are enlarged the pixels become larger then the computer is designed to render. Monitors are set at Wsywig (What-you-see-is-what-you-get) 72 pixels per inch. The photos also seemed to be scans of printed material. Printed material is also built from dots, similar to computer display. When printed photographs from magazines and newspaper are scanned an enlarge the scanner enlarges the photos half tone dots - this also results in pixel blow-out.
If the images are actual photographs they should be rescanned at 300 dpi at minimum of 10" x 12". Ten manipulating the images for internet use will allow for much clearer images.
