Hi there.

My Name is Noel Caldwell

My great uncle Charlie was a PT boat captain in WWII. I am interested in finding out a bit more about him as my middle name is Charlie (named after him)

Is there a list of crewmen and boats some place I could look at?

Thanks.

Noel Charles Caldwell.

Hi there

His name was Charles Caldwell. He survived the war and went on to have a career in politics.

I was hoping to find out what boat he captained. My dad told me yesterday that he has his diary’s from the war and if I get them I will post them in PDF for everyone to read.. So I will find out the info either way, but was interested to see if anyone on here was a relative of someone that served with him.

thanks

Noel

Noel;
LCDR Earl S. Caldwell first Commanding Officer of RON 1 and RON 2 is the only person with the same last name that I have info on.
I look forward to seeing those log books/diary.
Good Luck,
TED

Noel, Read your post from two years ago. Hope you're still here. I have a Lt. (jg) C.A. Caldwell who commanded either PT 381 or PT 546 in July 1945. Actually have a War Diary report from RON 28, but it is unclear in the report which boat he commanded. Would love to see the diary you have. Please email me.

Noel, If I were you, I would get your Dad's diary "copy written" before I released it publicly. I did the same with my Dad's diary. Get back with me if you need help.
