Does anyone remember Mike Holovak's football team at Mellvile in 1945? Please feel free to correct me but I believe that he organized, coached and played on the base team in the fall of 1945. The team played an unbeaten army team. If I remember correctly, they had a good first half, but then fell behind in the second half. |

In connection with the current postings regarding the Melville football team. I thought that some who had missed the notice of Mike Holovack's last patrol might be interested in this post. I can't believe that it has been a whole year. |
