Here are a bunch of pictures I just scanned that belong to my grandfater... His name is Charles Farrar, he was in several PT Boat Squadrons including 2, and 3. He was Base Force on Tulagi, and Cheif Electrician on the Acontius during he career.
If anyone has any pictures from these area's please e-mail them to me at mx278@metrocast.net
Thanks,
Robert Albertson
PICTURES 4 of 4
So here are the pictures.... The first one is my grandfather four years ago at my college graduation. He was 83 at the time... He is now 87 and still looks the same.

Great photos - as you can see I correct the photo links you posted. You must always change the IMG and /IMG (PhotoBucket tags) to lower case image and /image. This process is required to keep porno spammers from posting images on this site.
I also broke up the 50 images into 4 separate posts for the BENEFIT of those members who do not have high speed internet and still struggle with slow dial-up connections.
Great shots, I'm glade you are sharing them with us.
All the best,
Dick . . . .

Just noticed in the seventh photo from the top, a Crew picture that includes one black man. He seems to be part of the Crew (although I doubt it) Great shots though of PT 596. I also noticed what looks like our American Flag or Union Jack laying in the Raft.............

Hi Robert and Dick,
I am only able to see these five photos posted in the first message by Robert. Dick, you referred to 50 or so photos, yet I can surmise no way to see these photos. I tried logging in to Photobucket and It will not let me view "gt_diesel's" album without his password. So tell me what gives? Also, the above photos posted here seem to be to be really pixellated, and far from high quality images. I was hoping to see them directly from photobucket maybe that would improve the quality? I cant even make out the Hull Number of that LCI in the background, it is so pixellated here. Can one of you post a link here so those of us not as computer saavy can view these 50 photos? Thanks Jerry

Hey Thanks a lot Dick! I looked earlier, and I never found those photos you put links to. Although beggars cant be choosy, it is kind of frustrating to have to settle with the low quality of these scans. I am sure there is a lot more detail we could make out. Hey Robert!, Ddo you suppose you could take pictures of these prints using a digital camera, and then post them as electronic files? I am pretty sure you could get a lot better resolution than the method of putting them on a scanner. I imagine that would take some time, but it never hurts to ask! Thanks Jerry
