Frederick D Centrella, PT Boater from PT 357 (Ron 27) made his last patrol on November 30th 2007 at 3:30 pm.
He served in the south pacific theater from 1943 to 1945 on PT 357 as a torpedo man and gunner. I never got tired of hearing the stories as I grew up and now I will have to pass them on to those who will listen.
Their like will not pass this way again.

Dear Fred Jr.
One of the hardest times in our lifes is losing the ones we love. It is true that time will heal all wounds, and the only comfort I can pass on to you is that Fred is now facing the gentle breezes of the ocean as he glides across the waves, happy that he is once again reunited with his Crew that have gone before him.

Fred Jr.,
Sorry to hear of your loss. They were "The Greatest Generation" weren't they?
Your father was at the Reunion in Massachusetts wasn't he? I believe I met your father when I took my father to the meeting.
