Well, it has been a long thirteen days and finally, I have the Forum up and running.
There are two issues still left to be worked out. One is that several recent posts have been wiped clean but I think I might be able to chop and paste them together.
The other issue is that of membership, the member/user account data file was corrupted, damaging or deleting members. I was able to piece a good portion back together. It appears to be more of the senior members than the new more recent members. For the most part, that probably won’t be an issue. Out of the last 430 new members, 95 percent of them have never posted after joining. In addition, many other members haven’t been active or even visited the site in more than 3 to 5 years. Even today, most members may stop by only once a week.
When members can’t sign-in to post their message on the “Posting page”, This will be a sign that your member info was corrupted or deleted. Please email me, and I’ll recover your old account info if possible or make a new account.
As of today, we have 42,000 posts dating back to 2006. You might recall we lost many thousands to hackers in 1998, 2003, and again in 2006, Site hacks in 2013 and 2019 caused havoc but no loss of data or info. The forum was created in 1995 and was part of my old Knights of the Sea website, for a short while the forum was included in the PT Boats Inc. (PT Headquarters) website to steer more traffic its way, and it was very successful at the time bring some 300 to 500 visitors per day. I later moved the forum back to its own website, after differences developed at PTBI.
As of today many people still confuse this website/forum “The PT Boat Forum” as PT Boats Inc., but it is not. It has always been privately owned, financed and operated by myself 1995.
Here is hoping you will able to continue enjoying the forum, even with all the nasty attacks brought about by sad people.

Hello Dick!
First of all let me thank you for all of this work you had to do. I think it is pretty sad that these idiots have nothing better to do than mess with this Forum. They have nothing to gain except for causing pain and suffering for innocents. Put that on their gravestone. Anyway I just wanted to say Thanks!
