I have been looking for a ww 2 rate patch for MoMM 1st class. all that i have found online do not match my father's. His patch has a M on left side of the prop and an O on the right. Do the initials have a significance? thanks for the help and info. scott

Yes. The M O signifies the motor machinists' mate rating.Just the propeller mark is a machinists' mate rate, which encompasses other rates such as water tender, boiler tech, etc. The motor machinists' mate are the guys that ran and matainedmotors such as the diesels and the Packard engines in the PTs.

The picture is good. Shows a MoMM sleeve patch. Assume it's a first class. It is just like the second ebay patch that Travis posted. Good price, snag it.
