At random I stumbled across Fleet Obsolete in NY while on vacation. We were taking a trip on the river when I noticed it. I took some photos which I'm sure are nothing new. It was on a Sunday afternoon so nobody was there to talk to. I did not recognize the hull without the chine. Other than the obvious because they have the boat number painted on the, does anyone know what these boat hull numbers are?

The one “without the chine” is I believe Higgins PT459 which had been cut down to 56 feet long and the height eas shortened to 10 feet from keel to gunwale. It was on the coast of Long Island before they bought it.

David and Jerry;
PT 459’s hull is blue. With PT 459 painted on bow in black. 3-4’ letters/numbers.
PT 486 its hull was painted a light gray. With 109 painted on bow in 10-12 “ white numbers
PT 48’s hull is white.( blue tarp: from your photos it looks like they have affixed plywood sheets to the port side for reinforcement.)
PT 615’s hull is Battleship Gray, with PT 615 painted on bow in 3-4’ white with black shading letters/numbers.
Take care,
TED
