PT-152 crew poses for the camera. She would serve with Ron 9 before being transferred to Ron 12. The boat was in plenty of action getting credited along with PT-150 for sinking the Japanese Sub IJN-RO-102 in Milne Bay at Milne Bay in New Guinea on may 14, 1943, but the PT boats actually attacked the submarine I-6 that night, and I-6 supposedly survived this attack. Others claim the RO-102 was sunk by a Fletcher class destroyer. Both the 150 and 152 had spotted her on the surface, roughly at 6,000 yards, making about 12 knots. Each PT boat fired torpedoes at long range but both missed ahead of the sub. PT-150 closed to about 4,000 yards and fired another torpedo but that too missed. Both PT Boats ran parallel to the sub to close the but the sub crash dived to escape.
