I thought I would post a few of my photos showing some of PT BOAT BASE 17. This would become the largest of the PT BASES and the end of many of the boats which were stripped and burned at this base at Samar in the Philippines

Frank, thanks for the great pics. My father's last tour was at Samar as a motor mac. during the decommissioning of these great boats had hoped i might see the PT 248. maybe the one already burned in the water.

Scott your welcome. Here are a few shots from PT-248 for you to view in case you have not seen them before. The man doing the practice shooting on the 20mm is MoMM1/c Arthur Campbell.

Frank, Thanks for the enhanced pics of my dad. I have the same ones with the 20 mm. but yours are clearer. I may have sent you these pics. i know i sent them to Charles and Jeff D. I have pics of 248 underway. If I have not sent them to you let me know. my email is under the profile. that would be easier for me. happy Memorial Day to you and all who have served to protect our freedoms. Scott
