I know there is a thread on this somewhere... but I did not find it, soI am adding this.
I stumbled upon a book, "Ships of the ESSO Fleet in World War II, published in 1946, by the Standard Oil Company(New Jersey). It is a nice volume for those interested. It lists all the tankers of the ESSO fleet including those that became Navy ships, like the USS Guadalupe, formerly the ESSO Raleigh, known for having carried PT deck loads, as well as those that became escort carriers like the ESSO Trenton which became the USS Sangamon.
As well, this work lists the following ESSO tankers which carried PT's as deck loads:
S.S. R.G.Stewart
S.S. ESSO Richmond ( MTD squadron 27)
S.S. Wm.G. Warden
S.S. ESSO Norfolk
S.S. ESSO Piitsburg
S.S. Dartmouth ( 65' & 85' Army crash boats)
S.S. Manhattan ( MTB squadron 37)
I am attaching several photographs, two of which illustrate the spar deck to carry deck cargo that was contructed on these ships and one photograph of ESSO Baltimore with her deck load of PT's.

It's interesting to see the platforms that the PT Boats were secured to!
