Hello Shipmates! I just came across a new development in the electronic computer Naval Battle Game called "War Thunder". In the game, the PT658 has been added as a prize for something called a "Battle Pass". I am not familiar with this game, but we are excited to have an accurate representation in the game of our boat! Here are a couple of You Tube videos that show the electronic version of the boat in action. I never realized the amount of firepower the boat is capable of until you see it in action. Pretty cool and good publicity too for WW2 PT Boats!

Nice to see that PT boats will live on with younger generations. I had a friend who was born the same year as me, he said I should sell my old motorcycles, because younger people are not interested in them! I pointed out that of the 4,255,000 people born the same year as us, less then 1% of 1% of 1% add some more, are interested in old vehicles, motorcycles, cars, airplanes and boats, but that is enough to keep them going into the future! After all, there are reenactors fighting The War Of The Roses!

Jerry that is fantastic to have the 658 represented in a new game. She looks great in the game mode as well.

Gentlemen..
While yes the 658 is now global via "War Thunder", there is still much work to do.. The ship is grey/white, and while the details of the boat are pretty spot-on, there's still the extra life-raft that needs to go & possibly some torpedo shrouds that need to be added to the props outside the fish, oh, and of course, Marine green with camo as the base is a must!.. Jerry pointed out to me that that's how it rolled out of the Higgins plant in Louisiana during the war, so yeah, those guys at Gaijan need to get it right!
Overall, on a 1 to 10, I give their rendition a 6+ at best.. the guns on the bow still need to be separated a few feet, but for the most part, eh, not bad, not great, it is what it is for now.. LoL.. trust, i'm working on those guys at Gaijan.. It might not happen immediatlely, but i'd wager that boat will look right fair soon.. have faith..
In the meantime.. enjoy, fwiw.. "THE" 658 !

PS: that was a very rough version (green if you may).. wait for the updated version, it'll kick your ass!
Oh, and please use a vid console, home PC, or a laptop when viewing.. phones are just too friggin' small to enjoy the clarity IMO..

Very cool Jerry! I hope they give it some promotion, like letting players know about its restoration and location. And that they can actually get a ride on her!
