Hey,
Can someone who's knowledgeable about our late Will Day's involvement with the "PT 109" movie, as evidenced by the photo of him with Cliff Robertson and the big PT model, let us know the history and circumstances of Will's connection to PTs and the movie?
Thanks!

Not sure of the entire story although the model boat was used by Warner Brothers for the promotion of the movie. It traveled all over the place and Will was mad when he got it back busted up

He also had a 40 year career as film production manager in the television commercial industry.

Will told me a year or so ago that they paid him $10,000 for the damage. I remember being surprised at the amount but can't find the e-mail to confirm. That was a lot of money back then, heck it still is.

OK, so at one point Will was a "film production manager." At least that's something of a possible clue as to his involvement in the "PT 109" film.
I wonder now how and why he was in possession of that huge model of the late-production model of an 80' Elco boat, since it seemingly belonged to him, per previous posts...
