It took awhile going thru the forum, found this drawing of Todd City on Lumbaria Island posted about 10 years ago. Is anyone familiar with it? And does anyone have any idea what the highlighted area at the end of the jetty is. Best guess is a dock. However would be nice to know

Grady;
It might be two pontoon sections or small barges to use as a floating pier. The only real good photo I know of this area is the bombed and sunk PT 164 photo.
Take care,
TED

Is this the photo Ted?: https://www.history.navy.mil/our-collections/photography/numerical-list-of-images/nhhc-series/nh-series/NH-44000/NH-44494.html

You've probably seen this painting of Todd City Mike. Article by Charlie aka 29navy: https://www.usni.org/magazines/naval-history-magazine/2020/december/true-story-todd-city

This thread has lots of good info and CJ mentions drydocks when the PT base was on Bau Island: http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?fid=102&cid=101&tid=4126&st=0&nd=10&pg=1&sc=20

Yes Jeff, That’s the photo, however, now doing a real good look at this photo, it looks as if the landing craft has pushed the 164’s stern into the beach, may be just my interpretation.
Take care,
TED
