I thought I would post a photo of Glenville S. Tremaine who started his time at the Elco Naval Division as Irwin Chases assistant before becoming Works Manager later on. This original letter that I have thanks Tremaine for a job well done, but more importantly in the content of the letter, Vice President Henry R. Sutphen touches on the MTB trials. We know of course that the MTB being referred here is the Scott-Paine 70 foot PT-9, that Elco had purchased in 1939.

Your welcome Dick. History of Elco from the beginning of the PT program early on. Doesn't get much better than that
