Michael:
"Com.MTBRons 7th Fleet" would normally refer to a title such as that held at one time by Cdr. Selman S.Bowling: COMMANDER, MOTOR TORPEDO BOAT SQUADRONS, 7TH FLEET.
MTB Bases were just that, support facilities for the boats. BASE 4 moved as the war progressed; from Cairns, Australia to Milne Bay, New Guinea. There was also an Advanced Base 4 at Morotai. BASE 6 was at Milne Bay, while Advanced Base 6 was in Lingayen Gulf in the Philippines.
There was also an Advanced Base at Dregor Harbor, New Guinea.
I'm sure someone out there has additional/better info.

Thanks again Will,i know he wasn't a Commander but thats how it is written,so it must just mean he was assigned to MTB Rons of the 7th Fleet.Boy its hard to find info and or photos of a serviceman when you have no oral history.Anyway ill keep searching one day a member might recall something about him.
Cheers from an Aussie PT family member
