Hope everyone is doing well, recently I purchased some PT boat photos on ebay. This picture is PT 155 and PT 133 docked side by side along with several other boats. Im not sure where this picture was taken and what other boats were next to them. This photo is from a private collection and has never been shown before. Look at the cool nose art on the torpedo of PT 155.

Travis;
Nice find! looking at the SO-3 radar and the MK50 rocket launcher on PT 155, this photo is from 1945, this could be Morotai in the Halmaheras . I don't think that is PT 133 which was destroyed 15 July 1944 by Japanese shore batteries near Cape Pus, New Guinea.
Take care,
TED

This photo is a puzzler. I wish the number on the second boat was clearer.
If this is from 1945, given the SO-3 radar, there are a few options:
PT-155 was part of RON 9. That RON left Morotai in February 1945 for overhaul at Mios Woendi. In April they deployed through Kossol Passage at Palau to Advance Base 17 Samar. By the end of May, they were operating from Advance Base 3 on Malamaui Island, Basilan, Philippines, patrolling the Sulu Archipelago and Northeast Borneo.
From the time RON 9 left Mios Woendi, they and RON 8 constituted TU 70.1.11. The boats of RON 8 were PTs 66-68, 120-122, 129-130, 142-150, and 188. My vision isn't the best, but to me the "PT-133" in the photo doesn't look like any of those numbers.

Below is an image I tried my best to clean-up. However, this is the best that can be done from this posted image from Travis.

Good eyes and knowledge guys, and nice work Dick. Probably a later boat, the 133 would have had armor plate and the lower arched-top port bridge bulkhead as seen on the 155 if the armor had been removed. Although I suppose they could have added the taller 'armor plate replacement' used on PT's 163 on. I got nuthin'... maybe the 3 is a 6 or an 8? It looks like something is blocking the 3 and 1 a little.
Thanks for the mystery Travis, this is our idea of fun! If you're willing, could you send me the original scan you made assuming it is a higher resolution?

How about "143"? PT-143 and 155 both operated from Base 3 in 1945.
