This is an open letter to all of our "Originals", the men who Rode The Boats and took them Out In The Area, and to all of those who supported them near and far.
I know that the nature of this forum has changed over the years; time has thinned your ranks and dimmed some of the memories, and the Forum itself has morphed into a shared experience between you and the generations that followed, be they Splinters, modelers, or those of us simply fascinated by the history of these remarkable craft.
From all of us on this Memorial Day...THANK YOU... and please keep helping to preserve the legend. Both you and the boats deserve to be remembered.

I second Will's salute.
My admiration for you WWII PT vets (my Father's generation) knows no bounds.
