Anyone recall any mention of a 105 being fitted to a RON21 boat?

...and I don't think that six-pack bazooka mount ever got beyond the "Show and Tell" stage..

I just read this https://books.google.com/books?id=OCu1CwAAQBAJ&pg=PA23&lpg=PA23&dq=pt+boat+105mm+howitzer&source=bl&ots=wyxreNfGSM&sig=ACfU3U0NUsEbXyBu0UMelzWjhUmxaOEsZQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjSqKnugLXpAhWFK80KHWq4AKwQ6AEwG3oECAYQAQ#v=onepage&q=pt%20boat%20105mm%20howitzer&f=false scan down the page. He talks about a barrage from the two 5 inch rocket launchers were more powerful the a barrage from a 105mm howitzer Battalion. Maybe that's were it came from. Even if it's not, WOW is all I can say, hate to be on the receiving end!

The 105 stuff came from a person whose Dad was with RON21 and used to tell him stories about how it moved the boat when fired.

Highly doubtful that might have been a bit too large a caliber weapon for the PT BOATS. In all the years I have studied the boats I never saw anything of that caliber mounted on any PT.
