Another beautiful PT done by Stu, the 195 when she had the quad .50 cal. on the forward deck and 20mm's in both turrets. For those that may not have seen it, his detailed 109 build can be seen here: http://www.pt103.com/Italeri_PT109_Build_Stuart_Hurley.html. Previous photos of progress on his 195 build shown here can be seen here: http://www.pt103.com/Italeri_PT109_PT195_Build_Stuart_Hurley.html. Thank you for making these gorgeous PT models Stu, this is my idea of fine art. I think that they will spark others to a perhaps lasting interest in them:

Awesome work as usual, Stu! You definitely set the standard. How did you go about doing the art work? It really looks great.

Dave,
Thanks.
The Betty Grable was from a B17 decal sheet 'Sentimental Journey' She was too big however so I had to make her smaller by cutting small sections out and joining her back together and disguising the joints. I painted the swimsuit in red to match the pennant numbers. The 'TOODLES' is hand painted. The mission markings are made up from scrap decals and the pennant numbers and US stars are painted with multi -part stencils.
I admit to a degree of artistic license with colours and camo as we don't know for sure. Annoyingly, all the photos of 195 that would answer the questions are poor quality, either too dark or blurred.

Best Regards,
Stu.

Excuse me?! Since when was Betty Gable too big? And you cut her up??? and Glue her back together???? Good thing this is not 1944ish....LOL
Beautiful job. Althought Betty did not need plastic surgery.

Stu;
You did an outstanding job! I always thought about doing a PT 195 model, but now that you did such a great job, mine will now be PT 196(The Purple Shaft), 1944-45.
Take care,
TED
