In addition, Looking at an after action report from Tulagi Jan 10-11 1943. So over the course of 2 months they changed from PREP + names and drinks to PREP and numbers.
East Patrol:
PT 48 LT Bob Searles (PREP 1)
PT 115 ENS Bartholomew J. Connerly (PREP 2)
West Patrol:
PT 45 LT Lester Gamble(PREP 3)
PT 39 LTjg Ralph Amsden (PREP 4)

The official title was "Pacific Ocean Area Combat Call Book (PACCALL) Short Title PAC 72", dated 6 November 1944, issued by US Pacific Fleet and Pacific Ocean Area, originally classified Secret.
If anyone happens to be in DC, the document is at the National Archives in College Park, Record Group 38, Container 231A.
