That is really great, the expression on your Grandfather and especially on the lead mule! The story is great to! I come from a long line of horse people, my Dad was in ROTC cavalry but dropped out, ended up in the 9th AAF. I have a photo of him with his two quarter horses wearing his dress AAF uniform. My Grandfather on my mothers side raised champion stud Clydesdales! Sadly all were gone from the farms by the time I arrived. A friend of mine has a neighbor with four horses for rodeo work. When I walked up to the fence, I yelled at them, "hay, come here," they did! I told my stunned friend, "it's in the blood!" Again, I love that diorama!

That is really well done Grady and a great tribute to your Grandfather. I almost wouldn't be surprised if one of the mules looked at me and winked!
Nice shaving kit Randy. My grandfather was in the Army for WW1 also, he came here from Poland and enlisted as soon as he could. He got mustard gassed which eventually killed him while I was a youngster in the early 60's. I too don't know much about his service but have some of his medals including a purple heart. And a boy scout knife which apparently was repurposed for use by the Army judging by the markings on it.

Thanks guys , the build meant a lot to me. First time doing animals and rigging , was really out of my knowledge window , kind like my PT boat building , but it seemed to work out in the end
