Guys, stop laughing I’m serious. I searched for and read all the posts on this forum and can’t find the answer. I am Building the 109 crew set and am going to put a rag in one of the guys back pockets but don’t know what color they were. From the amount used to clean the bilges and needed for maintenance did the Navy ship rags to the front or did they use old shirts, etc. I know I’ve reached a new low with this question!

Thanks!
Jeff

I would make it a grease color.

Seriously though, I don;t know if they used the typical red mechanics rags or just torn up old shirts or whatever.
