My dad served on a PT in the South Pacific. Kenneth Dykema. He was a torpedo man assigned to the forward 50. His Captains name was Ellis. He was at the battle of Leyette Gulf. Looking for any further information anyone might have as to more information of the boat number et.. I am his youngest son who proudly served on the Guided missile Destroyer USS Kidd. My dad has long past and remember the stories he told me during his final years. As a child watching McHales Navy, he told me that was pretty much how it was, with a smile in his eyes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From Muster reports, he was in Squadron 12, arrived July 24, 1944. Stayed til September 1945. Boat-wise, you have to go through the deck logs of RON 12 boats to see which boat he was on.
