That PBR looks great, Arjan.
Looks like Sara Conner from "The Terminator" in the forward twin-.50 tub!
I worked with a guy years ago who had been an engineman on a PBR in Vietnam during Vietnamization. Had some interesting stories.

Great! Nice to see the drops of water on the boat. I read somewhere that a model boat is not a model boat until it gets wet. All of my scale more boats are RC and have been in the water. Lew

Thanks for your kind words gentlemen ! The figures I used are 1/18 scale and they are from Marauder Gun-runners, an American company :

I have always loved figures, they add life and interest to models and give a sense of the model's size. Marauder figures and accessories are quite affordable, especially if you live in the US. The nice thing about these Marauder figures is that you can make your own choices regarding the heads, bodies, weapons, accessories etc. you want to use for a particular figure.

Very cool Arjan, it runs well! I had a gas powered jet drive boat in the 80's, only boat on the pond that could back up and go through pondside growth. Not much for looks though, just a basic cabin style hull. Yours is way cooler looking and probably faster.
Nice figures especially the articulation and ability to create a variety of different characters. They really make the boat interesting! When are you going to start a 1/18th scale PT?

As to building PT boats, I hope the 1/35 Italeri Higgins PT boat will materialize before this year is over. Also I have started scratch building a 1/35 British LCT Mk IV which should keep me occupied for at least a year or two.

A 1/35 scale Mk IV LCT - that looks to be just over 5-1/2 foot long (for us Americans, 175cm for most of the rest of the world)! And as for the figures - yes - they really bring a model boat to life, especially smaller boats where it give the viewer a sense of the size by relating to the figures.
1/18 and 1/20 are kind of oddball scales, between 1/16 (tanks) and 1/25 (G scale RR), making a selection of figures limited.
Thanks for the tip on https://www.marauderinc.com/aboutus.asp - my son and two of the SSMBC club members have the ProBoat PBRs. I'll pass it on.

With 1.75 m it will indeed be a rather big model. I would have preferred a smaller, more manageable one and that's why I considered 1/48 scale but the range of vehicles in this scale is rather limited. I want to model an LCT that took part in the Westkapelle (Walcheren) landings (1 November 1944) with a cargo of LVT-2s, LVT-4s and Weasels.

Wow ambitious project Arjan. A load of tracked vehicles will give it a lot of interest. I look forward to seeing it, you do beautiful work.
