Greetings,

Does anyone know if the USAF P-520 is still at the Long Beach Marina, if so what is it's status?

Respectfully submitted,

This article from 2017 includes date references through 2012 and makes it look like the boat was based in the Long Beach/Orange Coast area at the time of the article.

Hello Jon,
I looked up Jerry Tretter, he is Buds Son and he now owns the P520. He is the owner of the "Marina Shipyard" in Long Beach CA. He moors the P520 there next to her sister ship "Cocktail Time" (or similar name) that has been converted into a pleasure yacht. The P520 can be seen on Google Earth aerial view. Just look Long Beach California, where E 2nd Street bridge crosses Alamitos Bay and there you can see the slips of the Marina Shipyard (On the east side of the bridge). If you count the boat slips starting at the bridge going down the 8th slip is the P520. I can make out the Aircraft style star and bar on top of her Pilot House even.

I am not sure when this photo was last updated, but I am willing to bet it is not more than 3 years old.

Hope this helps.
Jerry
