I noticed this post on steelnavy, apparently a re-release of an Elco 77 resin kit in 1/96th scale:

Jeff,

Would 1/96th scale be approximately the same as the small Hawk/Testors 80' Elco kits? If so, a nice Tulagi scene could be made with a mixture of these boats and the Hawk/Testors 80' Elcos.

Pretty pricey, though...

I do not know Drew and drew a blank Googling it.

Yes and the reasonably compact size would make a great Tulagi diorama!

As I remember, the old Hawk kits were more like N scale, maybe 6" or less long.

1/96 would be about the size of Revell's PT 212/ 207 kits. The Hawk kit was much smaller, between 144 and 1/220

The HAWK kits in my unbuilt stash are labeled 1/87, but I think they are smaller than that.
