Does anyone know the address of what is now a Marina type area or directions to the PT Boat School in Melville? I am having a difficult time trying to map a route on Mapquest; one reason, because I don't have an address. I am going to try to go to Melville in December and am trying to plan a route in advance. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx,

Greg

It would probably help if I stated that I am coming from Toledo,Ohio. I know I must start on the Turnpike and head East.

In mapquest put in Meville, R.I. The entrance is off RT 114 on Stringham Rd. You can see the marina if you us the aerial image.

Not a problem. If you go, you should run down to Battleship Cove in Fall River and check out the PT boats and museum. It's only about 30 minutes away. Unless you come up from that way. You can get directions to the cove at http://www.battleshipcove.org. Have fun!

Greg:

The name of the marina is Bend Marina,= at least it was up until a few years ago. This is where the PT boat that is at the museum in Fall River was built. Melville is actually a part of the town of Portsmouth, as I recall. Right at the Portsmouth and Middletown lines. From I- 195 take the exit that is signed for Newport. -- Al
