I have lots of info and schematics on the PT boats but have not come across information that details the design of the Prop. All I think I know is:
3 Props
All R/H turns
3 Blades
Looking for:
Diameter:
Pitch:
Photo?
Also:
Is there a difference between PT Models/Makes? (Higgins/Elco etc)
I noticed trim tabs on some pictures, Any info on them as well?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Chili

I believe all trim tabs were experimental and were not installed on production boats.
Elco used Federal Mogul Equipoise props for all their boats, at least as far as I know. As engine HP went up I believe diameter also increased. Here's some details from a drawing for 28 props:

Outstanding information! Thanks! I found a 1/10 scale brass prop (70mm diameter) that should run just fine for mu 1/10 build.

Hi, apparently all boats got their engines tuned to squeeze the most out of them,so would it be likely that 30" propellers were backfitted in the field or during overhauls? Trying to figure out whether to fit 28" or 30" props on PT195

In todays real world of boating when there is a substantial increase in engine power, the pitch of the prop is usually increased rather than the diameter.
As the war progressed and more weight was added to the boats, along with more engine power, I would venture to say, " the additional power was offset by added weight, and the prop size remained constant ".
Just my thoughts on real boating experience.
