I just got a note that PT-157 Skipper, William F. Liebenow will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery (Wash.D.C.) on August 23, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Skipper Liebenow passed away in February 2017 and it has taken this long for the Arlington approval cycle to be completed.

Skipper Liebenow will be awarded this now rare privilege of being buried at Arlington based on hs WWII Silver Star Medal which we was awarded based on two missions in the summer of 1943. Note that neither of those missions included he and his crew's rescue of Skipper Lt.(jg) John.F. Kennedy and the surviving crew of the PT-109.

Liebenow's daughter, Sue, has said previously that any wishing to attend may do so. More details as they become available.

Best regards,
Bridge
