Thank you gentlemen for keeping the memory of these men and their boats alive for future generations.
I am finally getting around to collecting my oldest brothers service on PT's together for his children & grandchildren.
Am sure I will have some questions for you folks after I gather all the initial info. first.

I don't know the boat numbers. Working to find that out now.

I notice there was a destroyer in the Med named USS EBERLE. Any connection?

Will,
There was an Admiral in WW1 named Eberle, probably named after him.
No kin of mine though.
My father was aboard the USS UTAH when it was part of a group commanded by him operating around Ireland I have heard.

Fred;
Welcome Aboard!!
I see you brother was in RON 11, the RON 11 DIV 2, then RON 20.
As for RON 11, if he went with 11-2 this should narrow it down some, PT's 177, 182, 185, and 186, designated as Squadron 11-2, under command of Lt. John H. Stillman, USNR, relieved Division 2 of Squadron 3(2) at Funafuti, in the Ellice Group in July 1943. Squadron 11-2 rejoined the parent squadron at Emirau in May 1944.
Our old friend TM 1/C Beatty Lay(who went on his last patrol on 8/6/2014) was with this group, on PT 185. Thanks to him there are photos of every RON 11 crew on his websiteWWW.NAVSOURCE.ORG.
Take care,
TED

All;
Did anyone copy Beatty's photos? I don't think I did. They are not coming up for me in the wayback machine. Fred's brother SC 3/C Ed Eberle, USNR, is identified by Beatty as being in the front row left of PT 182 crew photo taken at Toboga Spring 1943. Can someone post it?
Thanks.
Take care,
