This morning I woke up to a marketing email from Revell Germany and their headliner was the new tool PT-109. It is scheduled to release in February. I suspect we'll see something at the Nuremberg Toy Fair at the end of January. I'm curious to see how this one comes out. The art work is certainly interesting. Look! No mast! I do hope they include it though. Happy New Year!

Dave;
Nice update. looking forward to the release.
I notice they used MK 15 torpedoes in the artwork, maybe they bummed them from the same destroyer Ken Prescott did for PT 61.
Take care'

What appears (on the box artwork, anyway) to be a splash skirt on the port twin-.50s turret, ports, vents and step details on the charthouse sides, depth charges, an M3 37mm for the foredeck, properly sized and placed boat numbers, and -- unbelievably -- no A-frame mast (up, anyway)!
I hope they've molded the star-shaped bracing ribs on the rears of the torpedo tube doors, too.
The wife will probably have to grin and bear (at least bear, if not grinningly) a few more 1/72nd scale 80" Elco model kits in the house!

Hope the "New 109" is a little better than the older one. Look to checking it out.
Can't wait to see the photo etch.

It kind of looks like the movie boat to me.

Thanks Dave! I look forward to seeing this kit, it will be interesting to see what standards RoG opted to create this kit. Hopefully along the lines of their S-100 class Schnellboot.
