I have been working on the PT Boaters MIA/KIA list and I have located and/or Identified what happened to them. I have also been working on assembling who was on what PT Boat crew list. I have been working on these since the mid 1970's.If anyone needs any info I may be able to help you. My Uncle Vernon Arthur Manley was killed on PT 320 in the South Pacific.

What information do you have on the 300 boat? My uncle, Joseph Brunner, was killed when that boat was hit by a kamikaze. Thanks!

Thanks for the offer of information. My wife's uncle was also on 320 when it was bombed. My understanding was that only one crew member survived the attack. Any information about the crew would be greatly appreciated.
We have numerous letters he wrote to his sister, one about 5 days before the attack. He had been on several boats before 320 and claimed he liked this one the best.

Hi Bill- my Dad was in RON 13 in the Aleutians and in the S. Pacific. He survived the war. I am trying to find out what boat he was on. He was Ensign James Donald Smith from St. Paul, MN. Any chance you could tell me? Thanks, Larry Smith

Hello Colleen,
The info I have is: Brunner, Joseph M., MoMM2c, PT 300, s/n: 6288147, Died 2/26/1944, Buried at Sea but still listed as MIA. Home State: Missouri, Listed on the Tablets of the Missing, Manila, Philippines. Received the Purple Heart. His name was put on the Tablets in April 27, 1945. You can see the listing by going to www.abmc.gov/ and hit WWII and then type in his last name. If you need any other help just let me know.

Hello Alan,
I need the name of the crewmmber to tell if he is offically listed on the 320. There were 2 officers and 13 men killed. I do have a picture of the crew of the 320 that my uncle sent home just before they went out on one of their patrols. I do have info on the crew once I know who the crewmember is. I do not like to give out any false info.

Alan,
If you send me your address I will photocopy all my info plus the picture of the crew of the 320. My e-mail address is PirateRepublic2@aol.com.
There is information about some of the patrols they were on with other PT's. Bill

Hi Coleen-

In reading the messages on this post, I noticed that you are using the RON 16 emblem. My Dad was in RON 16 (221 boat). I am not sure and was just wondering if your 300 boat was assigned to RON 16, or if you just picked an emblem?
