Just found this forum and thought I'd post a picture of a plaque that belonged to my grandfather, Harvey Wilson.
From what I can find, PT 379 was an Elco 80' in service 3 August 1943 - May 1946 when it was sold.
I remember him talking about visiting a restored PT boat and getting a chance to go through it. He was proud to have served aboard PT 379.
Anyhow, appreciate this forum and have enjoyed reading through some of the posts. If anyone has some pictures of PT 379, I'd enjoy seeing them. |

Nice Plaque! You don't see many with a specific boat named, most are Squadron Plaques....don't ever let it go!!!
Take care,

Welcome, and very nice plaque! Now that's my idea of art.
Someone posted a link to a PT 379 photo album a number of years ago but I can't find it. I have the images and can figure a way to get them to you if someone else doesn't come up with the link. If I remember right it was a Google Drive type archive file with 70+ images.
