Randy How many RPM are you turning on these runs? I would guess 2000 to 2500.

C J WE WERE RUNNING 1450 ABOUT 30 MPH. WHEN WE GOT INTO THE LAKE WE WENT TO 1800 ABOUT 40 MPH THE PORT ENGINE EXPANSION TANK BACKED UP AND OVERFLOWED AND THEN WENT BACK TO 1600.

Randy How many inches of manifold pressure? I would have loved to have been aboard at that speed.
when I rode the 658 with Jerry we were not able to go very fast because of the wake we would throw in the river.

In that run we were run 25 inches of manifold pressure 1400. At 1800 we are about 32 inches.

In that run we were run 25 inches of manifold pressure 1400. At 1800 we were about 32 in . Tomorrow 6 am the museum is filming a commercial so I hope to get some more footage at speed and some drone footage.

For a comparison, 30 Nov 1943 in Lake Pontchartrain, PT 305 had 35 in Hg at 2100 RPM, Displacement 88,000 LBS using 29 x 26 wheels. Average speed at 2100 RPM was 37.422 Knots or 43 mph.
