I read on the forum that pt-302 ended up in new orleans, or in that area as blue dolphin, does anyone have photos or any info on this boat?
ive researched the boat and can't find anything.

Possibly. My grandfather, Gus Stevens, purchased a PT boat from a New Orleans yard and brought it to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the early 1950s, converted it into a family boat and called it The Blue Dolphin.

It was "seized" by members of the Dixie Mafia and The Blue Dolphin went back and forth between my grandfather's possession and theirs. Disappeared in the 70s.

Some amazing stories.

As my grandfather aged, he lost track of the whereabouts of his boat and it rotted out and sank into the Gulf of Mexico. The only remaining "piece" of it is a solid brass porthole in almost perfect condition. In my possession.

Not sure if this is at all what you are looking for or if this was helpful. You can email me at

Stromp;
Thanks for the info! I know Bill Spangenberg, son of PT 302 Skipper Robert F. Spangenberg searched for the whereabouts of the Blue Dolphin for several years. Now we know what happened to her.
Take care,
TED
