Looking for a source for 0.50 ammo belts for the Italeri kits. Have any of you used the ones in 1/35 on Shapeways? Seems like the warnings indicate that they are pretty fragile in that scale in that medium. Has anyone found a good product?

Thanks,
David

Hello David,
Have a look here.
http://www.live-resin.com/w-a-s/menu-1.html

You need set LRE-35053

I used them on this project

Hi David,
I have both the Live Resin and Pat's belts from Shapeways. Both are equally as impressive. Advantage of the Live Resin might be that you can heat up the resin belts and mold them a little. The Shapeways parts are probably a little more brittle and I'm not sure if heating will do any good. On the other hand Pat designed them for the turrets so they should fit well. Shapeways is slightly more expensive unless you catch them on one of their sales.

Really either one will work well.

Stu and David,
Thanks for the responses. I'll take a look at the resin option and look at Shapeways again. Very aware of both of your builds and very impressed. Might have a notebook of Stu's build laying around on my workbench to guide me on my project!

Thank you for the assistance,
David

You're welcome. Stu's work is exceptional and he did a great job of laying out the steps to making a great build. I hope you enjoy your project.
