This image is new to me! But found on Navsource, which says they're in the Welland Canal in Oct. 1945.

WHY would apparently fully armed PT's transit the Welland Canal???
(To get to the other end will not be accepted as an answer...)

Hi pat,
They were on their way to Detroit for the Navy Day Celebration from Melville RI to Detroit by way of the Great Lakes. Navy Day was in October 1945.
