This is the final weekend ( I hope ) in building the Exhibit for the Springfield Museum in Massachusetts. We have worked hard to build an excellent Exhibit and even the Museum Curator and Library director are very impressed with it. A special thanks goes out to my wife Stacia who has worked side by side with me hanging pictures, measuring things, and generally doing what I asked of her. I could not have done it alone. Also a special thanks goes to my good friend Alex johnson, who has bulit me the most beautiful 1/24th scale model of PT 41. This is firmly in place in the squadron three section of the Exhibit and looks very awesome. Another thank you goes out to my good friend Stan Pienkowski who built me three models for the Exhibit, working hard to get them ready in time. He never lets me down.

The Exhibit will open on July 10th and remain on loan to the Museum until the end of February 2008. The hours of operation are Tuesday thru Sunday, 11:00 am until 4:00pm. The Exhibit is in the second floor gallery in the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum, located on the Springfield Museum grounds. There are 4 Museums in all and make for a nice trip with the Family if you have never been there. I know the men of the Mosquito Fleet will be proud of this Exhibit as I am to put it on. It will halp to educate those who know little of the PT Boat Service during WWII, which is my main reason for doing these Exhibits. Already, I am in negotiations with another Museum to have the Mosquito Fleet Exhibit set up, and I am working with the Eastern States Exposition to have my Packard Marine Engine on display for the 2008 Fair. Keping my fingers crossed. I again hope that those of you in the area would stop by to visit the Exhibit. Give me a shout if you need any other information.

Thanks Frank for keeping us updated on the Exhibit. I am sure it will be a great success. I only wish it were closer so I could see it. You do so much to inform this generation about the roll P.T's played in WW11. Also showing great respect for those veterans who served aboard.

Thanks Again!

Frank,

I wish I could get up there to see it. Maybe one of these years... Good luck with the exhibit, and I hope everything goes well.

If you (or someone else) could take some photos of your exhibit and post them on the site, it would be great.

Hello
I'll go with what Drew said if it's possible for you to add some pic's that would be great. I live in England & the chances of me getting over to the States is very unlikely. I would love to see some of what you have on display.
Hope all goes well & you get plenty of visitor's.

I will certainly post some pictures for all to see. When the time comes though, I may need help in putting them up. Not sure as to how to do it. By the way, I should have mentioned a BIG THANKS to our WEB MASTER, Dick. who made me a wonderful wonderful Poster for the Exhibit. This Poster shows a cut away of an Elco PT Boat showing top side and below decks diagram. I put that into the Exhibit yesterday and it looks great. It will really help to show folks the interior of the boat and where everything was. Can't thank him enough. Yesterday was spent finishing the Exhibit which I am happy to report is now ready for the July opening date. Today I will do some touch up work and put the finishing touches on everything.
