Would like to know if anyone on forum served in Ron 5??
My father served on the 107 1942 thru Nov. 1943 went on leave.
He is 93 now and the last of his boat still around.
He was on leave when the 107 burned.
thank you

James, Is this the same John W Sullivan who has been a member of this Forum for years? His email is jwdmsully@aol.com from Danville Ill and was a crew on PT107? He always signs his posts "Ole JWS"?
If so he has contacted the son of his boats Captain and a few others already. Just search this forum for his old posts and you will find quite a lot. Hope this helps . Jerry

My father-in-law was assigned to RON5 and was below deck on PT63 on the day both boats burned. I have reason to believe ( but no proof) that he trained on 107 when he was first assigned to RON 5. He transferred to the 63 when it came to RON5 in April and stayed on it thru the day it was destroyed. Then he was assigned to the 108.
