Dear Friends,
I'm new to this website so please forgive me if my post should be placed in another area.
I served on PT 598. Having just celebrated my 90th birthday, I thought about it might be nice to connect with my former crewmates. It has been many, many years since my last contact with anyone.
Please email me at wsa211@att.net
Regards,
Warren

Welcome and happy birthday Warren. We would love to hear about your experience on the 598 boat. I hope CJ Willis will reach out to you soon. He is a PT veteran and regular contributor on this site.
All the best
Dave

Thanks to everyone who responded. When we decommissioned the 598 in Samar I salvaged the "Miss Mickey Finn" plaque and I have it displayed in my living room as a reminder of bygone days.
Also I built a 4 foot Radio Controlled exact replica of the 598 with electric motors. It runs great and with its power it will plane. Would love to hear from my quartermaster George Rutledge or any other of my shpmates.

Warren;
I have been making 1/35th scale models of PT 599 (Kactha Maru) and PT 600 (Hangover Square) at Miami Shakedown. July 1945.
To get them correct, what color is the lettering on your name plate for Miss Mickey Finn?
Or if possible can you post or email me a photo of it? I am the one who emailed you all those RON 40 photos.
Thanks.
Take care,
TED

Warren - Another welcome to you. I'm sure that everyone here would enjoy seeing pictures of your model. Are you familiar with PT Boats.Org? They may know the whereabouts of Mr Rutledge. They are here: http://ptboats.org/01-0-05-about.html
