I was looking through some of my dads' stuff and I came across this signed letter from former Secratary of the Navy James Forrestal. I imagine this is a pretty standard letter that all the Vet's received after their discharge from the Navy after the war.

Gary-
I have a very similar letter from Admiral Forrestal sent to my Dad after his discharge in 1946.

My dad, Lauren Howard Rigg, PT Ron 9 received a similar letter. They must have been sent out to all who were discharged from the service. It's great to have.... a small piece of history.
