I'm trying to scratch build a number of items on the Italeri 109 and can't find size specs on certain items, e.g., cable, wiring, prop shafts and antenna diameters. I also can't find bolt head sizes and armor thickness on some. I could guess and use what looks good, but that could lead to a gross misrepresentation in the end.

Good luck and don't sneeze or you'll bend them!
If you really want to beat yourself up with the armor I have a page up here: http://www.pt103.com/PT_Boat_Components_Armor.html. The armor didn't go down to the deck, mahogany pads were laid to a level surface and steel angles attached to them and the plates.

Jeff,
I have been on your site many times and thanks for your contribution to the community. I've used a lot of your info for the scratch building I've done so far. Here is an example of the foot rails I scratched built.
I also scratch built the armor at the helm for the PT 109 as per your website. Still working on the Mahogany pads.

Excellent work, O-3! My wife (the general surgeon) says "be careful with that scalpel!"
Cheers!
