Does anyone have pictures of the apparently extensive restoration of pt-617, I had heard that the pt-619 had its superstructure removed and put into the 617.
I was wanting to know out of curiosity, due to the fact that I am currently converting the revell pt-109 into 617 as she is now, along with my raf rescue launch.

PT 617 is currently restored with a mixture of weapons systems representing the entire span of ELCO PT Boats, The only thing it is missing from the deck is the MK50 5 inch rocket launchers. It has tubes forward and racks aft. It also has SO-A radar mast, vice the SO-3 radar it left the factory with in 1945.
Good Luck with your projects.
Take care,

Also as far as the span it represents, I did notice a while back that 617 had a mix of torpedo tubes and torpedo racks.
I think the mast might also be different from that series of elco.

I agree that the mast is different as well, it is absolutely not what this boat had in 45.

I'm building PT-615, her sister boat. I've collected an extensive amount of data on PT-613 through PT-624. I don't have very many pictures, but I do have the ELCO engineering drawings.

Correction to previous post, 12 boat range was PT-612 through PT-623.

ThePTboater,
Check out:
www.williammaloney.com/aviation/PTBoat/index.htm
Or just Google PT 617 Battleship Cove Fall River Massachusetts.
Lots of color photos of the restored PT 617, above and below decks.
