My grandfather, Joseph Nelson Bowen served on PT-306, "The Fascinatin' Bitch" in the Med from 1944 - 1945. I recently came across some of his old photos of the boat, the squadron, and the boat's crew. Some of the photos are even labeled. Last names of ships crew (possibly Squadron crew, too) include Ewing, McGrath, Lieutenant Brown, Powell, Meehan, Clarke, Bielman, and Young. Too many photos to post. If there is interest, let me know.

Welcome to the board. I am sure the folks restoring PT 305 would really be interested in any photos etc that you may have.

I would certainly be interested. Owning and operating The Mosquito Fleet Exhibit I have hundreds of original and digital photos that i can use for the Exhibit or for others that may be looking for a certain thing. I would be very happy if you could send me copies via E mail. My E mail is mosquitofleet@comcast.net If you have time please check out my web site: http://mosquito-fleet.gdinc.com/

I am also interested. Do you have any photos of PT 308(LA DEE DA)? 308's Skipper was LT Charles Murphy and Exec was Ensign Vern Peak(who when promoted to LTjg, became 2nd Skipper).
Thanks.
Take care,
TED

There are other PT boats in the pictures, but they are very small pics and black and white. Very dark hulled boats plus black and grey 2"X3" pictures make it impossible to make out other boat numbers/names. Those names (Murphy and Peak) did not show up.

Welcome to the board.
If you have any that show the equipment installed on the boat inside or out I would like to get a copy if possible. We use these pictures to help restore the PT658 out here in Oregon. Currently we are looking for photos of the 30cal Brownings they sometimes installed on the side of the boat as extra firepower. But interior shots of the boat are also as rare as hens teeth so anything you care to share would be awesome! Thanks Jerry (my email address is on my profile)
