Just did a quick search and came up empty on this so I thought I would
post it anyway. I just received the Royal Model Elco 80 and Harbour
kit from Dragon Hobby. I found this on flea bay this past weekend, and
I know how often guys have asked for life vests and other oddments for their
models. Kit has 15 kapoks and helmets, assorted crates for dockside scenes
coiled ropes for the deck, four rope fenders to hang over the side and a couple of gas drums. It is resin(I hate resin) and at 37 bucks a little pricey,
but the added effect on a model will be priceless.I am no modeling
expert but the pieces appear to be very nicely done.I do not know if this
is just a rerun or if it is new, but I thought I would throw it out there.

It really is a nice set. And if you take a look at how they incorporated their parts into the Italeri kit in their finished model you'll be impressed. Thanks for your post and input.

May not be anyone still looking at what PE set(s) to buy for the PT 596 kit, but thought I would post this anyway.
The Royal Model website has a few Promotion items listed. There are 2 of interest.
The 1st is 3 sailor figures and a generator grouped together, price is approx. $54. I didn't price this set out, but probably a savings on it.
The 2nd is their PE set and resin set, combined, for approx. $98. As this seems to be the average I have seen for just the PE set, looks like you are getting the resin set for free.
I have not decided on which I will buy, though leaning towards the Lion Roar set.
Anyway, just a FYI.
