I just received my copy today. Great looking book, Thanks for the pointer!

Yet another interesting viewpoint on PT Boat history with many great stories and captions. Worth picking up a copy if interested.

I was hoping for a few Huckin's photos and there's a nice one of JFK's PT-101, disguised as PT-32, on page 94. The one below it is PT-100 (staring as PT-31), which was the boat that later launched over 100 torpedoes up in RI during the last 3 months of the war. She ended up being the last operational Huckins PT. Anyway nice stern shot and interesting patch on the stbd transom.

Two unidentified Huckins on page 93.

The Huckins bow shot on page 154 is probably either PT101 or 102 based on the anchor placement and lack of starboard lifelines (used for the starboard forward 20mm mounts on PT-98 (PT-35) and PT-100 - removed for the filming and never re-installed).

I got my copy on Weds. Excellent book.
Amazing that it was filmed in Miami! The wonders of Hollywood.

Just received the book today. In skimming through it, although some of the photo captions are suspect, it is a treasure trove for anyone interested in the film.

Hi Guys, I was wondering if this book is worth the price in the photos. Of course we are all looking for great photos of the boats used and the on location bases. For me, I have seen enough of John and Donna. With that said how would you rate this book on the photos mentioned ?

Limited in scope, consisting of "behind the scenes" stuff shot by an outside photographer. Repetitious but interesting.
