Dad always told me if you don't ask a question your never going to get an answer, so here goes. As you know over the years, I have had Stan Pienkowski build 95% of my Exhibit models, but lately he is a bit overwhelmed trying to finish up my PT-61 boat, and other projects for customers. I do know that Stan is also slowing down, and I am not sure how many more projects he can do for me. I am asking if anyone here on the board would be interested in giving me a price to build the Italeri PT-109, as she looked just before the crash. I am working on a small exhibit for Andrew Jackson Kirksey and Harold Marney for 2015, but I need the boat for the Exhibit. I have artifacts no problem, but no boat. I have asked Stan but after my 61 boat I doubt he will do anything for the remainder of 2015 or early 2016. If interested shoot me an E Mail., or give here on the message board..........

Frank,
There are a number of commission builders on the Modelwarships.com web site. If you posted your question there I'm sure you'll get some responses.

Frank;
I agree with Dave, there are some fine examples there. The difficulty might be finding a modeler within your tri-state area. this way you won't have to worry about damage in shipping.
Take care,

I actually have had a couple of models shipped, and if you can believe it I have had no problems. I have had difficulty in trying to get anyone from my area to build a PT, and I even know the guys from a model club in the next town over. Stan has been my main guy for many years, I am learning to appreciate him even more.............

You can always try it yourself Frank, just follow these easy instructions:
Hah, that sequence brought back some memories. One time I cut the web between 2 fingers with a razor blade, had to go to the emergency room for stitches. Buried an x-acto hilt deep into my leg, drilled through a finger etc... No wonder I don't model anymore.

HAHAHA! I did that too! At the age of 9 I cut my finger the a carpet knife, trying to cut the left access door on an Monogram 1/32 M3 Lee, just like Shep Paine did for his diorama....2 stiches.
Then around 28 and I was working on a 1/32 1979 Ford Pick Up for my SEAL TEAM FOUR Paitilla diorama, and damn if I didn't get wounded too! I was cutting part of the bed with all my force and wham! The Xacto knife went right into my thigh, 4 stiches there, but this time I used my NSW med training and sowed it myself dle and thread'
Ahh the adventures of modeling!
Take care,

Still have a faintly visible scar on the tip of the middle finger of my left hand, received when cutting through the fuselage door of the Monogram 1/48th scale C-47 with a #1 X-ACTO knife about 35 years ago. Cut was deep, blood went spurting, and I wrapped it heavily and tightly with Band-Aids and medical tape.
Probably needed a few stitches, but I left the Band-Aids & tape on for a week or two, and the cut fused itself together OK.

That's so funny Jeff, my table would probably look like that if I tried to build it myself. I have not built a model in 20 years or more. Besides I'm still waiting for Will's promised gift of the 109 he has in his garage, I feel confident he will send it this month...............

I would, Frankie, but I cut my stamp-pressing thumb with a #11 blade.
