Well Gents, Here is the latest:

http://commercial.apolloduck.us/advert.phtml?id=395518

As you will notice, this is a Global advertisement site and as you can see the ad is 1 month old. I sure hope she and her sisters stay in this country. We all want to see this boat restored, to operationally original condition, as well as the others in that location. hopefully they all will soon.
Take care,
TED

The biggest problem Ted, is the guy that owns them, he thinks the boats that he has are worth a Million bucks. He asks way too much for them, and most people or groups do not have that kind of money to spend on a wooden boat that is for the most part a pile of junk. Now, I am with you Ted, I want to see PT-48 brought back to her original condition, but as you know this is going to take millions of dollars and man hours. It can be done, but you have to be able to purchase the boat at a decent price. I doubt the guy that owns it will see it that way, he is in it for the money and nothing else, and if can get someone with little knowledge he will get them for a good amount of dough.

As much as I want to see the boat purchased and completed, I don't think this will happen because of the present owner..........

Way to true Frank, asking price $500,000.00, this amount would get you a long way into the restoration and knowing the boats condition at least 10x more than someone with that knowledge would pay.

Unless someone can make him see sense about the true condition she is in and price her accordingly she will be lost.

Knowing that this Board has followed her discovery and recovery with many pictures and stories of her condition and what was finally placed under that plastic cover, tends to make one question how thick a pair of rose coloured glasses he must be wearing!

However given the opportunity maybe someone will pick up the torch for her. (Hmmm that could be taken the wrong way so I hope a little sense goes into reading the last line).

Ta,

D.buck
