Well when one is very young and the closest thing to a real PT Boat that one is going to get is this kit, then that's what one is going out and spend the money that working Saturdays has put in your pocket!
At least that's what I did and my parents thought I was mad to do so, but they were part of the war time generation and did not understand that their thrifty ways were not ours!
OK got that off my chest, David great to see the model it shows that with a little TLC and a hand that knows his stuff a model of this vintage can look rather good indeed!
So well done, and I rather like that you put the 115 numbers on her lets people know that there were other PT 's out there!
Now to keep it out of Franks clutches.
Ah well back to the salt mines!
Yours,

Jerry don't be fresh or I'll have to come there and take the boat out for a spin all the way to Massachusetts. Still a kit that is widely used in Diorama's because it finds favor with it's small size, and when completed they look pretty good. I have a few Diorama's built by Stan using this kit and I think they look great. I think the last one we did using this kit was the PT-108/Gato class sub, honoring my buddy Earl Richmond. Alex Johnson did the updated guns and Radar and I think it looks awesome. Now, I am not as picky crazy as some guys, but the kit still offers a fine way for making that diorama. I know it can't hold a candle to the new ITALERI kit, but that 1:35 size makes it a bit tougher to do a Diorama, although Stan who is working on PT-61 for me, will be finishing my PT-108/LCVP next, and that is using the ITALERI KIT.
